What Drives DVC Resale Prices?
Resort Location
Resorts at Walt Disney World command a premium over off-site resorts like Hilton Head or Vero Beach. Monorail-accessible resorts (Contemporary, Polynesian) typically sit 20–40% above average.
Use Year
A use year starting earlier in the calendar year gives buyers more booking flexibility. June use year contracts tend to carry a slight premium.
Points Loaded
Contracts with current-year points available - especially large point banks - typically sell at or above asking price. Stripped contracts price lower.
Disney Retail Price
Resale prices track Disney's direct price at roughly 50–60 cents on the dollar. When Disney raises retail, resale prices often follow.
