DVC Points Chart 2026
A DVC point chart shows exactly how many points you need for each night at each resort. The number changes by season, room type, and day of the week. Before you buy a resale contract, check whether your target resort's chart matches how you actually plan to travel.
How DVC Seasons Work
Disney uses four demand seasons to price nightly point costs. Adventure season covers the quietest travel periods, typically late January through early February and parts of September. Magic season covers the most popular travel windows: major holidays, spring break weeks, and peak summer.
Choice and Dream seasons fill the calendar between those two extremes. The exact dates for each season shift slightly from year to year. Disney publishes the official chart each fall for the following calendar year, so the 2027 chart will be released in late 2026.

Common Questions About DVC Points
How many DVC points do I need for a week?
A 7-night stay in a studio at Saratoga Springs runs roughly 63 points (Adventure season) to 154 points (Magic season). Studios at premium resorts like Grand Floridian or Polynesian require 77 to 203 points for the same 7 nights. Most buyers find that 150 to 200 annual points covers a comfortable one-week trip in a studio during non-peak seasons.
What is Adventure season vs Magic season?
Adventure season covers the lightest-demand periods: typically late January through early February and portions of September. Magic season covers the most popular travel windows, including major holidays, spring break, and peak summer weeks. Magic season nights can cost three times as many points as Adventure season nights at the same resort.
Do DVC points carry over if I do not use them?
Yes, with restrictions. You can bank unused current-year points into the following year before a specific banking deadline, which varies by home resort. Banked points expire at the end of the year they were banked into. Borrowed points (used in advance from next year) cannot be re-banked. If you miss the banking deadline, unused points expire.
Why do DVC point requirements change every year?
Disney can adjust the points chart annually as long as the total points required across all nights at a given resort stays within a contractual ceiling. In practice, Disney reallocates points from slower periods to busier ones. A room that costs 8 points on an Adventure night might increase to 9 while another night decreases by 1. The total annual cost at that resort stays within the cap.
What is the cheapest DVC resort in terms of points per night?
Hilton Head and Vero Beach both have studios starting at 7 points per night in Adventure season, the lowest of any DVC resort. However, their annual dues are among the highest at $12.07 per point. Saratoga Springs and Animal Kingdom offer the best balance of low point requirements and moderate dues for Orlando-based stays.
